The meeting will be held on <B>January 29th in the cafeteria of Russell Elementary School from 7-8:30pm </B>. The snow date will be February 5th 7-8:30. You will be contact via email if the meeting needs to get postponed from the January 29th to February 5th as a result of weather, so make sure you check your email!As you may remember, the following groups were formed with the initial goals:  </DIV> <DIV class=s4>  </DIV> <DIV class=s4> <FONT style='font-family:"Symbol";font-size:10pt;'>· </FONT>Communications: develop a survey to determine residents' preferences for getting a newsletter (via email or snail mail)  </DIV> <DIV class=s4>  </DIV> <DIV class=s4> <FONT style='font-family:"Symbol";font-size:10pt;'>· </FONT>Recreation/Youth Opportunities: reactivate the recreation committee and get more volunteers; investigate creating a skating rink  </DIV> <DIV class=s4>  </DIV> <DIV class=s4> <FONT style='font-family:"Symbol";font-size:10pt;'>· </FONT>Building Community: contacting organizations to determine volunteer needs for their group as well as how to transport those volunteers who wish to help out who might need transportation </DIV> <DIV class=s4>  </DIV> <DIV class=s4> <FONT style='font-family:"Symbol";font-size:10pt;'>· </FONT>Economic Development/Zoning: educate the community about what zoning is and its benefits through a series of meetings/workshops </DIV> <DIV class=s4>  </DIV> <DIV class=s4> <FONT style='font-family:"Symbol";font-size:10pt;'>· </FONT>Natural Resources: increase awareness through education about such topics as wetlands, development and landowner incentives to protect open space </DIV> <DIV class=s4>  </DIV> <DIV class=s4> The goal of this meeting is to hear from each of the groups what they have been working on, their struggles and needs and then provide an opportunity for the entire larger group to provide feedback, suggestions and support. This meeting may provide each of the groups with more volunteers to help with their efforts...but at a minimum, keeps the entire community "in the loop" about what's been happening since the Profile and keep momentum going for future activities/goals.
