Covid-19 Update

Library news

As you know, the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus has New Hampshire and the world making changes in the way we do everyday business. Throughout our communities schools and extracurricular activities have been cancelled, modified, or postponed.

Byron G. Merrill Library is committed to sharing factual and timely info with our community. At the present time, the library:

  • Will be closed to the public until further notice
  • Will modify due dates of items currently checked out accordingly
  • Encourages use of our online resource click here
  • Has cancelled all current programming

Since the situation is fluid, we will continue to notify you of any changes in our status. We encourage you to routinely check our Facebook page and the library tab on the Town of Rumney website.

The state of New Hampshire has created a resource that is updated every few minutes: click here for up to date information coming from our state officials.

Our staff and trustees will be developing a plan of how best to serve our patrons during this time. Hopefully we can resume a variety of services quickly while protecting both our patrons and staff.

In the meantime, for book requests and inquiries please click here to email Susan. You may also drop off books at Susan's home on Buffalo Road (the house right next the Rumney Historical Society Museum).

We already miss you all!
