Conservation Commission
What Does the Conservation Commission Do?
The Conservation Commission helps protect the natural resources in our town, including forests, wetlands, wildlife, and water. We work with town boards and residents to ensure development is done responsibly, and we help review wetland and shoreland permits. The commission also manages town conservation lands and trails, supports land protection efforts, and promotes environmental education and stewardship through community events and outreach. We are a member of the New Hampshire Association of Conservation Commissions and actively participate in a statewide network of commissions working together to protect and sustain New Hampshire’s natural environment for future generations.
We welcome public attendance at our meetings and encourage residents to get involved in local conservation efforts.
